Xijiang Miao Village is located in Leigong Mountain, northeast of Leishan County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province. This village completely preserves the traditional Miao culture, consists of more than 10 natural villages that are built on the mountain. It is currently the largest Miao village in the world.
The location of Xijiang Miao Village is a typical river valley. The crystal clear Baishui River passes through the village. The main part of Miao Village is located on the slope of the river valley on the northeast side of the river. For thousands of years, the Xijiang Miao people have been plowing here at sunrise and sunset. They opened up large terraces and form a specific farming culture and pastoral scenery.

Stilted building( Diaojiaolou)
The building of Xijiang Miao Village is mainly Diaojiaolou which is integrated with the surrounding green mountains and waters. Diaojiaolou is the living fossil of the Chinese ancient buildings, it has high aesthetic value in architecture.

Wind and rain bridge (Fengyuqiao)
In order to improve the Feng Shui conditions in the village and to facilitate the life of residents, most Miao Village has built Fengyuqiao to keep out the wind and rain. The construction of the previous Fengyuqiao is an all-wood structure which is easy to be washed by flood. It now built are all made of a mixture of cement and wood which has already resolve the previous problem.

The Night Scene
Every twilight time, thousands of households lit up the lights. As the sky becomes darker and darker, Xijiang Miao Village becomes the ocean of lights, and it can be seen that Miao Village presents the shape of the bull's head. Viewing platforms are settled on the side of the hillside to facilitate visitors to enjoy this marvelous scene.

Miao Song & Dance
Every morning and afternoon, there is a national song and dance program performed by local Miao people. Gorgeous costumes, cheerful songs & dances and impressive love stories will help you to understand the humanities of this traditional group.
The singers of the Miao ancient songs are all the old people in the village. They sing their ancient poems with the ancient Miao language.
