Zhenshan Buyi Eco-museum in Huaxi

Zhenshan Village lies in Huaxi District and is 21 kms away from Guiyang city. The village was originally built in 1573-1620 of Ming Dynasty. According to historical record, General Li with his soldiers from Jiangxi province settled down nearby Zhenshan village. The General moved in Zhenshan village and got married with a Buyi irl named Ban from the village. Nowadays 300 households in the Village are the descendents of the couple. Zhenshan village is with an area of 3 square kms and has 105 Buyi households and 38 Miao households. In 2000, the village was selected as an Eco-museum of Buyi minority. Zhenshan village situates near the mountain and by the river. Most of the houses in the village are made of stone with wooden structure. The village is divided by a temple into 2 parts-upper village and lower village. It is a spectacular view to watch the stone roves of the upper village from the lower village.
