Liu Yue Liu is the most traditional festival of the Buyi people in the year. It contains traditional festival cultural activities characterized by religion, productivity and entertainment. During the festival, every household must prepare a big red rooster, a paper horse, a dish offering, etc to sacrifice the gods, burn incense and paper to clear the drought and locust disease.
