Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HTT) announced that it has signed a commercial agreement with China Tongren Transportation Tourism Development Investment Group to build first super high-speed rail system in China.
The Tongren Municipal Government and HTT will establish a joint venture company with a 1:1 investment ratio to jointly build a “vacuum pipeline super high-speed rail research and development industrial park” project. It will build a 10-kilometre super high-speed rail line, which is the first super high-speed rail construction agreement signed by the US Super High-Speed Railroad with China.
According to the relevant person of Tongren Municipal Committee, the project will be used as a scientific research institution in the early stage, and will gradually be built into a super high-speed railway for commercial operation.
The project is divided into two phases: in the early stage, the two parties will jointly build a commercial high-speed rail line of commercial vacuum pipeline not exceeding 10 kilometers; then the two parties will use the results of the first phase to complete the necessary regulations and regulations, and extend the line on this basis.
